Join together with other great economic thinkers, such as Milton Friedman, Adam Smith, and John Maynard Keynes to resolve the largest economic crisis in modern history. The future of the global economy is in your hands. You must decide how to move forward and create a stronger economy for years to come. You will be tasked with solving this issue using market-based economic principles, as per your assigned economist. Focusing on the macro side of economics, you must work together to help the world recover from the Great Depression.
About the Chairs
Jack Bilman, 11th Grade, (He/Him)
Hi, my name is Jack Bilman, and I am so excited to be one of your chairs in this committee. I started Model UN last year and since then, I have been in a crisis committee and 2 general assemblies. I have found a love for politics and international relations through not only Model UN but also writing for the school newspaper. I am so excited to be chairing this committee to further my understanding of economics and to hear what you all have to say about the Great Depression and how you approach your roles. I am so excited to meet you all and best of luck in preparing for committee.

Caroline Miller, 11th Grade
Hi! My name is Caroline and I am excited to be co-chairing the Economic Thinkers committee. Outside of MUN, I play soccer and lacrosse, and I run a small baking business called Sweet Caroline’s. I joined the Model UN team in the beginning of my sophomore year, and since then, I’ve continued to grow as both a true delegate and a leader. I am especially excited for MASMUNC IV because the previous conference was my first hands-on experience with MUN and helped guide me through future committees. I’m enthusiastic and highly optimistic about what this year will bring for MUN, and I can’t wait for all delegates in my committee to bring their characters to life and most importantly, to have fun. Good luck!
