Welcome, delegates, to the World Health Organization General Assembly! This committee will address one of the most pressing issues at the intersection of health, ethics, and governance: the growing black market organ trade. The WHO must convene to forge solutions that advance scientific innovation while upholding the highest ethical standards.

Topic A: Black Market Organ Trade

About the Chairs

Emily Kasoff, 12th Grade

Hi everyone! My name is Emily, and I’m so excited to be one of your chairs for the WHO committee at MASMUNC this year! I joined Model UN at the start of my freshman year and have loved being part of this amazing community ever since. Outside of Model UN, I enjoy singing, traveling, and exploring new places with friends. Two years ago, I was a delegate in a WHO committee, so I’m looking forward to returning to this UN body from a new perspective and hearing all of your ideas. I can’t wait to meet you all at MASMUNC this year!

Amalie Bagaria, 11th Grade

Hi everybody! My name is Ami, and I am so excited to be chairing the WHO committee this year! I joined Model UN at the end of my Freshman year, and this is my second time chairing MASMUNC. I love the experience of connecting with an entirely new group of people over a specific topic to create interesting solutions to real-world problems. Outside of Model UN, I love playing guitar, writing, playing tennis, and baking. I’m excited to see how you all handle the complex and nuanced issues at hand, and I wish you all the best of luck with your research!
