SECRETARIAT

Secretary-General: Neena Atkins

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to welcome you to this year’s MASMUNC. I joined Model UN as a nervous freshman with an embarrassing amount of fear in my eyes and zero public speaking skills, but through MUN, I’ve found my voice and built friendships and memories that mean the world to me. Last year I served as the club’s secretary, and this year I’m honored to serve as one of our presidents. Outside of MUN, you can usually find me on long walks with friends, shopping trips, or reading books about oddly specific corners of history. I also have a bit of an obsession with trying out different matcha lattes, and I love to travel whenever I can!! As a Secretary-General, my biggest hope is that you dive into productive debate, meet new people, and, most importantly, have fun. Our team has been working hard to make this conference a meaningful experience, and I can’t wait to see it all come together this December. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me at Neena.Atkins@mastersny.org. I’m looking forward to seeing the energy and excitement of this conference in full swing this December!

Hello everybody! My name is Sebastian Simkin and I am beyond excited to be your Secretary-General for MASMUNC this year! I have been doing MUN since the eighth grade, with the activity being a fundamental part of my school experience from the first time I walked into a club meeting. Outside of MUN, I love playing the clarinet, bass, and banjo. One of my favorite moments from the last two years that I have been a part of the Masters MUN team, that I have come to expect from my experience at MASMUNC, is the crowd of happy faces leaving the school after the awards ceremony; fulfilled from a full day of effort, collaboration, and of course, fun. I can’t wait to see that again this time around. Thank you, and I know you’ll all enjoy MASMUNC just as much as I think you will.  If you have any questions about MASMUNC or MUN in general, my email (sebastian.simkin@mastersny.org) is always open. I can’t wait to see you all come December!

Director-General: Noah Adler

Hi! My name is Noah Adler and I am so excited to be your Director-General for MASMUNC IV. I joined Masters two years ago as a Freshman and have loved it ever since. The community, friendships, and laughs that I have found through MUN are unmatched. For the past two years I was a chair at MASMUNC, both in a crisis and General Assembly, and so this year I am so excited to get a new experience in how the overall conference is run. I have more experience in General Assembly’s but my favorite committee ever was a specialized, the Pan American Health Organization committee at Columbia, where I served as Guatemala. I loved being able to have a small tight-knit committee and that really helped me to grow as a delegate--I hope to bring that same environment and energy to MASMUNC IV. Besides MUN I really enjoy talking politics, hanging out with friends, cooking, taking photos, and naps. I really love talking with and meeting new people, and I am so excited to meet all of you at this year's MASMUNC. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have at noah.adler@mastersny.org

Faculty Advisor: Brittany Farrar

Salvete, delegates! Though the majority of my time at Masters is spent teaching Latin to 6th graders, I’m so lucky to also be working with the Masters Model UN team this year, and I can’t wait for you to experience the conference we’ve put together this winter. We’ve designed MASMUNC III to appeal to delegates of different skill levels and interests, so we know whoever you are and wherever you’ve been, we’re sure you’ll find something you’re passionate about and someone to connect with here in Dobbs Ferry! Please feel free to reach out to me regarding optional pre-conference trainings offered by our team, commuting to our conference on public transit, and dietary restrictions and allergies. We can’t wait to meet you on December 7th!
