SECRETARIAT

Secretary-General: Violet Paull

Hi everyone!! My name is Violet Paull and I am so excited to serve as the Secretary-General of MASMUNC II this year!! I have been on the Model UN team since my freshman year here, and I love it so much. Besides being a co-president of our Model UN team, I am the Secretary of our student government, and write and edit for the literary magazine Panache. Outside of school, I love to read, write, watch movies, and go to museums. I am so super excited to be on the secretariat of MASMUNC again, and I can’t wait to see what you all bring to it!! If you have any questions about the conference, committees, Model UN in general, or just want to say hi, feel free to email me at violet.paull@mastersny.org.  I look forward to meeting you all!

Secretary-General: Lucas Seguinot

Hi, my name is Lucas and I am thrilled to be your secretary-general here at MASMUNC II! I am a senior at The Masters School and this is my fourth year in MUN. I had dreamed of leading this club since I first heard about it when my older sister was a part of it. My goal at MASMUNC II is to make sure you grow as a delegate and have plenty of fun. Besides MUN I am an active member of our school’s newspaper, Tower, serving as this year’s editor-in-chief. During the spring I play varsity volleyball. On campus, I am also a Diversity Ambassador. When I am not in school I love to listen to music, watch movies, and spend time with friends and family.

Director-General: Sophie Moussapour

Hi Everyone! My name is Sophie, and I am beyond excited to serve as your director-general of MASMUNC II. I am a current junior at Masters, and have been a member of our MUN team since I joined the school in 8th grade - and now serve as our secretary. Outside of MUN, I am a part of the tennis and track teams, as well as various musical groups, student government, and more! I love being involved around Masters, but find myself most at home during MUN where I can be myself, and watch Arrested Development on the train back from conferences :)  The Masters MUN family is truly like no other, and I am thrilled to be able to share a bit of that with all of you. I can't wait to see everyone in December for a conference to remember!! :)  Feel free to email me at sophie.moussapour@mastersny.org with anything at all!

Faculty Advisor: Brittany Farrar

Salvete, delegates! Though the majority of my time at Masters is spent teaching Latin to 6th graders, I’m so lucky to also be working with the Masters Model UN team this year, and I can’t wait for you to experience the conference we’ve put together this winter. We’ve designed MASMUNC II to appeal to delegates of different skill levels and interests, so we know whoever you are and wherever you’ve been, we’re sure you’ll find something you’re passionate about and someone to connect with here in Dobbs Ferry! Please feel free to reach out to me regarding optional pre-conference trainings offered by our team, commuting to our conference on public transit, and dietary restrictions and allergies. We can’t wait to meet you on December 2!

Faculty Advisor: Benjamin Thorn

He holds a B.A. from Cornell University in Classics and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. He began learning Latin in sixth grade using the same textbook he now teaches. His interests include making pizza, reading nonfiction books about history and fantasy fiction books, and embarrassing his two sons and his wife -- all of whom attend/work at Masters.
