This General Assembly DISEC committee will be about chemical warfare. We will cover the history of chemical warfare, its development, and its use in contemporary global conflicts. As delegates, we expect you to explore regulation, the question of further development, and potential consequences and benefits for society's future. We emphasize MASMUNC's policy that states that delegates are forbidden from promoting actions of violence and instead plan to focus on this topic from a legal, defensive, and developmental stance. You will be advocating for your country's stance on chemical weapons and working torwards compromise on the global impact and repercussions of chemical warfare.
About the Chairs
Hi, I am Ella Horowitz. I am currently in 11th grade. This is my third year doing Model UN, and it has been one of the highlights of my high school experience. This will be my second year chairing MASMUNC. Outside of Model UN, I am on Masters' golf team, a member of Bridge USA, and Jewish Culture Club. I am so excited to meet all of you, and hope you will have an amazing time in DISEC!
Hi, My name is Noah, and I am a sophomore at The Masters School. This is my second year at Masters, and I am originally from Brooklyn but now live in Rye. I started Model UN last year and have loved it ever since. I also love spending time with friends, swimming, relaxing, discussing politics, and sleeping. I am interested in American politics and am politically active through volunteering and other activities. I am so excited to participate in the third MASMUNC, and can't wait to see all your solutions related to chemical warfare.
