In this committee, delegates will be Roman senators attempting to deal with Hannibal Barca, who has just entered the Italian Peninsula after his daring crossing of the Alps. Delegates will have to monitor the Roman economy, military, and public support. Hannibal threatens the very heart of the Roman Republic, and if delegates don't rise to the occasion of defeating him, they will fall in the shadow of Carthage's greatest general.
About the Chairs
Hi everyone, my name is Rohan Lavery. I am a junior, and I am very excited to be part of MASMUNC this year and see a ton of productive debate. This is my 2nd time participating in the Masters Mun conference, and I have been doing MUN for 5 years. I joined MUN because I enjoyed the thrill of debate. In my free time, I enjoy various activities, such as watching soccer and American football. Some fun facts about me are I am bilingual and have French citizenship, so feel free to talk to me in French during committee. I can’t wait to see you guys all at MASMUNC, and I wish you the best of luck.
Hello, Delegates. My name is William Black, and I am one of your co-chairs for this MASMUNC Committee. This is my senior year and my final MASMUNC, so I hope this committee is the best one yet. Model UN has been quite the experience over my years as a delegate, and I hope that this conference, above all others, is the most memorable for you all. I can’t wait to see you all soon!
